Curriculum Vitae
Kyriakos Katzourakis
Born in Athens 1944, studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts
With I.Moralis, and printmaking at the St. Martins School of Art in London, where he also attended courses on cinema.
He lived in England from 1972 to 1985.
He has organized numerous one man exhibitions and represented Greece on many international exhibitions – Biennale Sao Paulo, Biennale de Paris, Europalia, etc).
1976 Eduardo Paolozzi organized exhibition of his painting at the Serpentine Gallery London.
Since 1988 he has collaborated as art director with “Art’s Theatre Karolos Koun” on “Iphigenia in Aulis” Epidaurus, “Trojan women” Epidaurus, “Nefeles” Epidaurus and on other numerous plays directed by Giorgos Lazanis
1991 founded “Omada Technis”: relationship between painting, theatre, cinema.
1991 – 1993 “TEMPLO – HOUSE OF GUILT” Painting, Theatre, visual installation
1997 “PROSOPOGRAFIA” Painting, Theatre, visual installation
2001 “THE WAY TO THE WEST” a project about immigration, supported by “Culture 2000” with Painting, Theatre, Photography, Cinema .
2003 The documentary THE WAY TO THE WEST resulted from this project
(Best Documentary Award in the 43rd Thessalonica IDFF 2003, as well as the FIPRESCI award in the 5th Thessalonica Documentary Festival 2003 and was selected and screened in a number of important international film festivals (Locarno, Tribeca, Montreal, Yamagata and Istanbul International Film Festival).
2005 “SWEET MEMORY” First Fiction film. Thessaloniki International FF 2005, Montreal International FF 2005. Ficco International FF 2006, Tetouan festival Mediterraneen de cinema 2007 ( Award 1st female role – Katia Gerou) .
Since 2005 Katzourakis is Full Professor at the “School of Fine and applied Arts - Aristotle University of Thessalonici”.
Since 2006 Kyriakos Katzourakis and Katia Gerou are working on the next project
“PANSELINOS - SMALL REVOLTS” e fiction film.

Βιογραφικό σημείωμα
ΚΥΡΙΑΚΟΣ ΚΑΤΖΟΥΡΑΚΗΣ
Γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1944. Σπούδασε ζωγραφική στην Ανωτάτη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών (ΑΣΚΤ) και στην Αγγλία ( St. Martins School of Art)
1967-68 έπαιξε στην ταινία του Δ. Θέου "Κιέριων"
1969 ιδρυτικό μέλος της ομάδας "5 νέοι Έλληνες Ρεαλιστές".
Έζησε στην Αγγλία τα χρόνια 1972 - 1985.
Με επιμέλεια του Eduardo Paolozzi οργανώθηκε το 1976 έκθεση στη Serpentine Gallery - Arts Council
1971 Σκηνογράφησε στον κινηματογράφο το Προξενιό της Άννας του Π.Βούλγαρη και έκανε τα κοστούμια στις Μέρες του '36 του Θ.Αγγελόπουλου.
Εργάζεται μόνιμα στην Ελλάδα από το 1986.
1996 -2002 Διευθύνει το εικαστικό εργαστήριο του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού στον Δήμο του Αιγάλεω.
1988 - 2007 Συνεργάζεται με το Θέατρο Τέχνης σε 20 παραστάσεις.
Συνεργάτης της ομάδας χορού Οκτάνα το1993 και του Β. Αρδίτη το 1989.
Αντιπροσώπευσε την Ελλάδα στην XI Biennale de Paris το 1980 και στην Biennale Sao Paulo το 1979.
Από το 2006 είναι τακτικός καθηγητής στην ΣΚΤ του ΑΠΘ.
Από το 1991 με την ΟΜΑΔΑ ΤΕΧΝΗΣ δουλεύει συστηματικά πάνω στις σχέσεις της ζωγραφικής με το θέατρο, τη μουσική, την φωτογραφία και τον κινηματογράφο.
